Not it

This isn't the surprise I mentioned yesterday, and I don't know whose birthday is today, it's a sample I stitched for work. I rather like this one and made it into a place mat.
It was a windy, rainy day with sirens and lots of interesting cloud formations.

Even a rainbow.

I've discovered a jagged hole in my gutter, which explains why my basement has been wet. I can't imagine how it happened, but I'm guessing it's related to the ice storm since it wasn't there before. Instead of going to the downspout, the rain water has been pouring out that hole directly into the ground, right above where the water's coming in. This morning I put a bucket under the hole, and tonight the bucket was overflowing.

Hope the bucket doesn't blow away.
