But inside, the tomatoes are under grow lights.

Usually I use a large shelf for this arrangement, but I only have a few plants and the basement is chilly, so I'm using this little upstairs shelf. As the plants grow, the height of the shop lights can be adjusted by moving the S-hooks up the chain. I've done this with four long shelves in the past - it's a lot cheaper than the systems sold in seed catalogs. Be sure to get the fluorescent tubes for plants/aquariums since they have the correct light spectrum.
