Family First Saturday

Today's postcard

Here's Sharon's March Take It Further challenge:
Do you ever notice the little things, the small moments, the details in life? This months challenge is to do just that, pay attention to the tiny details. Sometimes the small things become emblematic for something larger.

I'm thinking about making something with embroidery and beads since I've seen so many pretty embellished things lately. Only thing is, I don't know the embroidery stitches. That's why today's postcard is a sampler of stitches to try out a few.

The first Saturday of the month is Family First Saturday at the Cincinnati Art Museum. There are crafts, music, and stories, and Nora loves it.

Aaron's looking over Nora's shoulder. He seemed glad for an outing after being in sick most of the week.

Nora made an imaginary animal with tiger stripes, feather legs, and a hat.

She made a hat for herself, too.

This is - a pirate ship.

Sarah, here's a picture for you - proof that Aaron could hold his own in Asheville's West End Bakery, where the sweet granola babies wear their hats on Sunday mornings.
