The best kind of snow, totally unexpected, starting around 9:30, when the morning commute was over. Flakes beautiful and huge, hardly even flakes but little clumps, covering grass and trees and bushes. With temperatures right at freezing, roads clear. Beauty without complication. Poetry in snow.
