Two Work Projects

Two work projects, totally different. The first is a Martha Pullen pillow, with straps to hold a book open, an embroidered pocket for a highlighter, and an embroidered bookmark. So not my type, and yet, I learned to make piping, to make a back opening to insert the pillow form, and to and line up two embroidery designs to make the bookmark.
The second was for my presentation, so of course it's more my style. An embellished piece of Fast 2 Fuse to cut apart and make nine postcards. Really, the only thing I learned from this was to love the clear embellishment foot.

The first was pretty much of a chore, especially as midnight approached. The second was relaxing and fun. But I love to learn, so . . . . which is better?
