How long ago, I wonder, were these daffodils planted at one of the now-abandoned military officer homes beside Tower Park in Fort Thomas? What kind of day was it, and what was the gardener thinking on that day? The houses were built in a circle, and I like to imagine screen doors banging and people going in and out. How long ago, I wonder, were these daffodils planted at one of the now-abandoned military officer homes beside Tower Park in Fort Thomas? What kind of day was it, and what was the gardener thinking on that day? The houses were built in a circle, and I like to imagine screen doors banging and people going in and out. I like to imagine a path going from the houses, down the hill to the river. And one day, someone planted these flowers.
