Home and Garden Show

Thanks to Helen for taking me to the Cincinnati Home and Garden Show. Bridget and two of her sisters came, too.

There was lots of look at, but of course the best was the plants put into garden settings. It's so nice to look at the fresh plants and dream a little about the seasons to come.

I found the plant below pretty interesting. It looks like an ornamental cabbage with the bottom leaves stripped that was then allowed to bolt. Surely this attractive little plant had a relative who was ignored in the garden and who then had a life of its own.

Here's Helen's haul - a whole box of yellow tulips, along with some Gerber daisies.

Only one daisy for Bridget this time. Usually she has a box full too. People who go at the end of the last day can score some plants before the displays are torn down.
