Yesterday morning, early, I walked on the Purple People Bridge and thought about the Summer Solstice. There are planters on the bridge, often planted with the usual planter suspects, but this time a group had planted a mix of ornamentals and edibles.
There were tomatoes, kale, corn, herbs, and more. I was especially intrigued because this is how I like to plant my beds at home, a mix of this and that.
One planter had this charming lady added to the mix. Her sunglass lens was actually a mirror. I know that in a couple of weeks those planters will look even more impressive, totally exuberant. I'll be back.
