No Pompillios

My friends and I got to Pompillios last night to find wall-to-wall people and a two-hour wait. Pompillios is known around here for good food and as a location for a scene in Rain Man.

We talked it over

and decided not to stay this time but to come back earlier another day.

A phone call told us that our next choice at Newport on the Levee had an hour wait, so we decided to try LaRosa's, another Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati favorite. The wait there was short, and they have Blue Moon on tap and a florentine foccaca that I love. Not quite the ambience but really good food, so that was a good choice. A fun Saturday night.
